Google Search Operators

Google Search Services supported by its Search Operators. These Operators which are query words that have special meaning to Google. It's query for different type of search. For example "link:", will list webpages that have links to the website.

The following lists the search operators that work with each Google search service.

1) allinanchor:
Start your query with "allinanchor:", Google restricts results to pages containing all query terms you specify in the anchor text on links to the page. For example, allinanchor: Malaysia Online Marketing will return only pages in which the anchor text on links to the pages contain the words “Malaysia,” “Online,” and “Marketing”.

"Anchor text is the text a user clicks when clicking a link on a web page." When you click on anchor text, you will be taken to the page or place on the page to which it is linked.

2) allintext:
When a search query included "allintext:", the return results only to those containing all the query terms you specify in the text of the page. For example, a search terms for "allintext:Malaysia National Day", the return results for pages only which the words “Malaysia,” “national,” and “day” appear in the text of the page.

3) allintitle:
Start your query with "allintitle:", Google restricts results to those containing all the query terms you specify in the title. For example, a search query "allintitle:Malaysia Online Marketing" will return only documents that contain the words “Malaysia” and “Online" and "Marketing” in the title. A "title" is displayed at the top of the browser window and first line of Google Search Result. Putting "allintitle:" in front of every word in your query is the same to putting "intitle:" at the front of your query.

4) allinurl:
Start your query with "allinurl:", the return results are only to those containing all the query terms you specify in the URL. For example, search query for allinurl:Malaysia Online Marketing will only shows return results documents that contain the words “Malaysia”, “Online”, and "marketing in the URL. Putting "allinurl:" in front of every word in your query is equivalent to putting "inurl:" at the front of your query.

5) link:
The query link:" URL shows pages or link that point to that URL. For example, to find pages that point to Google page, you may key-in "link:www.google.com".

Alternatively, to find links to the Google home page not on Google’s own site. You may search by entering link:www.google.com -site:google.com

6) related:
The query "related:" will list web pages that are "relevant" or "similar" to a specified web page. For instance, related:www.searchenginesservices.com will list down web pages that are relevant or similar to the Search Engines Services page.

7) site:
If you include "site:" in the search query, Google will restrict your search results to the site or domain you specify. For example, "sitemap site:www.searchenginesservices.com" will find pages about "sitemap" within www.searchenginesservices.com.
